Baker’s Historic Rainbow Flag included Hot Pink and Turquoise stripes. Due to manufacturing issues, the two stripes were left off the flag and it evolved into the 6-stripe Pride Flag commonly seen. This is our tribute to Gilbert Baker and his historic legacy - recreating his original design.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS THINK

Shipped super fast, very well made flag, beautifully wrapped and fun promo cards! If I ever need another flag or a custom one this would be a great company!

Meagan Keefe

This is my third flag from this company. I finally had to retire the first one I ever bought after a good three or four years of almost continuous outside exposure and I'm sure this one will last just as long!

Sarah Day

Great quality flag, exactly as pictured -- except BETTER because it's in my kid's room! Thanks for another great gift for my enby baby. <3

Stephanie Bertels

Lovely quality flag! The bright colors and tough fabric would be good for outside use but I'll be hanging it on my wall inside

“Visibility is key to our success” - Gilbert Baker

I’ve lived in square states red states where a Rainbow Flag in a bar window meant safety. Across borders and timezones, the Pride Flag is a symbol universally recognized by those who know to look for it. The stripes of the flag mean nothing on their own, only when they are brought together do they represent a community.

The Genderqueer Pride Flag embraces gender as a spectrum and does not subscribe to preconceived notions of masculine or feminine. Marilyn Roxie, who designed the flag, chose a purple stripe to represent androgyny because it is a mix of pink and blue, colors traditionally associated with men and women. The green stripe is an inversion of purple, representing those identify as outside of the gender binary.

The Queer Flag celebrates the Queer movement and Queer identity. Historically used as a slur, the term Queer was reclaimed by members of the LGBTQIA+ community in the 1980’s. For some, Queer has become an umbrella term for the LGBTQIA+ community. For others, it has become an inclusive label for folks that exist beyond the binary. However you find meaning and identity, the Queer Flag is here as a symbol of pride.

The green hues represent the spectrum of romanticism and all arospec identities.
